Celluloid Verdict
Glossy campaign-trail pulp with genuinely muscular action set pieces, anchored by Song Yoon-ah's ice-cold power broker — it trades plausibility for momentum and rarely regrets the deal.

Critic Reviews
The K2 (2016) Review: Bodyguard Pulp With Muscle
★★★★☆
The K2 is a glossy 2016 Korean action thriller: Ji Chang-wook's fugitive mercenary guards a politician's hidden daughter amid blackmail, bruising fights and romance.
Yes, with reservations. A slick, hard-hitting action melodrama for fans of Ji Chang-wook and political intrigue, if you can accept plotting that favours momentum over logic.
