What is Reply 1988 about?
Five families share one narrow alley in Ssangmun-dong, where front doors stay open, side dishes travel between kitchens, and five teenagers grow up half-living in each other's houses. Across a year of Olympic-era Seoul, Sung Deok-sun and the boys next door fumble through exams, first crushes and the slow realisation that their parents are people too — while a present-day frame keeps teasing which of them she eventually married.
