What is The Rip about?
A Miami-Dade narcotics unit led by veteran detectives raids a stash house and discovers roughly twenty-four million dollars in cash — far more than any bust on record. Ordered to hold the money overnight until federal agents arrive, the team locks down in a motel with the fortune in the next room. As hours pass without backup, paranoia replaces protocol: who called whom, who moved a bag, and who might walk out alone. Joe Carnahan films the standoff as a pressure-cooker crime drama where every alliance is provisional.

It depends. Viewers who enjoy tense, talky crime dramas about loyalty will get a solid night in; anyone expecting a precision heist puzzle may feel shortchanged.
