Ponniyin Selvan: Part II (2023) Review: Heartbreak at Court
★★★★☆
Ponniyin Selvan: Part II completes Mani Ratnam's Tamil Chola epic, trading some of Part One's playful intrigue for doomed romance, grief and a war for the throne.
Yes. It is a satisfying, emotionally richer conclusion for anyone who saw Part One, though its hurried final battle and changes to the novel will divide some fans.
