Our editorial review is published. People We Meet on Vacation (2026) Review: Charming but Safe. The composite score is a separate measure. It requires an editorial rating and at least one independent rating input.
What is People We Meet on Vacation about?
Brett Haley adapts Emily Henry's bestseller about Poppy and Alex — platonic best friends who have taken one vacation together every year for a decade and refuse to admit the ritual might mean more. Emily Bader and Tom Blyth carry the chemistry as flashbacks from Palm Springs to Croatia replay their greatest hits and worst fights. When a scheduling conflict threatens to break the tradition, both must decide whether friendship is the safe story they have been telling themselves. Mason Gooding and Dolly de Leon add warmth to a romcom built on delayed recognition.

People We Meet on Vacation (2026) Review: Charming but Safe
People We Meet on Vacation is Brett Haley's friends-to-lovers romcom from Emily Henry's novel, lifted by Emily Bader and Tom Blyth but cautious in its storytelling.
It depends. Emily Henry readers and romcom fans will enjoy the leads' easy chemistry, but viewers wanting wit or surprise will find it pleasant and forgettable.
