Mulan is Niki Caro's live-action remake of Disney's animated classic, reworked as a songless martial-arts epic. It looks spectacular but feels oddly remote.
It depends. Viewers after sweeping visuals and wuxia-flavoured action will enjoy it; fans of the 1998 film's humour, songs and heart may feel shortchanged.
