Klondike (2022) Review: War Through a Broken Wall
★★★½☆
Klondike is Maryna Er Gorbach's stark Ukrainian war drama about a pregnant woman who refuses to leave her Donbas home in July 2014. Rigorous, bleak and haunting.
Yes, with patience. It is a powerful, unsparing drama about civilians trapped by war, best for viewers ready for slow, static filmmaking and a very bleak mood.
