27 Steps of May (2019) Review: Trauma Told in Silence

27 Steps of May is Ravi L. Bharwani's near-wordless Indonesian drama about a young woman and her father after an assault, a demanding but deeply felt film.

Yes, with care. It is a patient, powerfully acted drama about trauma and recovery, best for viewers who welcome slow arthouse cinema and are ready for its subject.
